The Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation at the Technical University of Liberec (CXI TUL) was established in 2009 with the aim of supporting collaboration with industry and fostering innovation
Our experts use cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art equipment to carry out high-level research. We focus on three main research areas.
Nanomaterials in Natural Sciences
The first is Nanomaterials in Natural Sciences, where we combine basic and applied research in the field of advanced materials. Our work includes the development and testing of nanomaterials, advanced water purification technologies, microbial safety, and bioremediation. We offer accredited chemical and microbiological analyses, including GC/MS and LC/MS methods.
Competitive Engineering
The second area is Competitive Engineering, where we support innovation in industrial production, particularly in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. We cooperate with companies to develop technologies with direct practical impact.
System Integration
The third area is System Integration. In this field, we develop modern software solutions, robotics, data processing systems, and data visualization using augmented and mixed reality.
Collaboration, European project and diversity
Collaboration with industry accounts for more than 20% of our annual turnover. Our team consists of more than 160 specialists, one-sixth of whom come from abroad.
We successfully participate in European projects such as Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, MSCA, and others. Each year, we publish over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers.
In 2020, we were awarded the HR Excellence in Research certificate, which confirms our commitment to employee care and meeting European standards in human resource management. Half of our team are women, and we believe that diversity is key to success.
