Peter Baffoe is a physician and public health practitioner with 22 years of extensive experience in clinical practice and public health, particularly in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health, as well as HIV programming. He has a strong background in advocacy and the development of public health policies and strategies at both national and subnational levels.

Peter possesses a comprehensive understanding of health systems, having worked at various levels, including national, regional, district, and community. He has served as a senior specialist with the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service, as well as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and the Medical Director of a regional referral hospital in Ghana.

He subsequently worked as a Health Specialist for Maternal and Newborn Health at the UNICEF Ghana Office and served as a Health Manager for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health with UNICEF Nigeria Office. Currently, he is the Health Specialist for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health at the UNICEF Latin America and Caribbean Regional Office (LACRO).
