Sally’s career as a plant scientist began at Southampton University, when she attained her PhD. As a research scientist, lecturer and manager in the field of crop physiology and sustainable agriculture, she has designed, conducted and overseen projects that have revealed novel aspects of plant biology. She has published over 50 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, which have been cited more than 4,850 times. In 2010 she was part of the Lancaster University team awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education.
