Lianne M. Lefsrud

Lianne M. Lefsrud is the Risk, Innovation, and Sustainability Chair (RISC) and Professor, Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of Alberta. Her research asks: How can management systems be enhanced so organizations are better equipped to recognize, understand, and respond to unforeseen events and manage risks? She develops enhanced hazard identification, risk management, evaluation, and communication methods, and drivers of technology adoption. She has 200+ publications, 100+ keynotes and interviews, one patent and more forthcoming, and over 30+ awards from academics and practitioners in management, engineering, political science, and discourse/writing.
