Professor Alvaro Mendez directs the Global South Unit at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He teaches international relations at LSE, Sciences Po Paris, and Fudan University in Shanghai. Mendez is co-author of China and Latin America: Development, Agency and Geopolitics (Bloomsbury, 2023).
