Professor Anne Ladegaard Skov is head of the Danish Polymer Centre at the Technical University of Denmark. Prof Skov is a world-leading expert in silicone elastomer synthesis and characterization. Her research group develops innovative techniques for elastomer synthesis and characterization for applications ranging from soft robotics to energy storage. Recently, Prof Skov and her group have focused on improving the sustainability of silicone materials, including coatings, by developing more durable materials made via sustainable processes. Professor Skov acknowledges the support of the Independent Research Fund Denmark for supporting the work discussed in this article under the project CONOSO.
