Dr Snoeckx is a board certified-radiologist, an associate professor at the University of Antwerp, and Chair of the Department of Radiology at Antwerp University Hospital.
Her clinical and research interests are in the field of chest imaging, in particular thoracic oncology, lung cancer, pulmonary nodules, lung cancer screening and implementation of artificial intelligence. Dr Snoeckx has published over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles on thoracic oncology.
Dr Snoeckx is co-founder of the Flemish Lung Cancer Screening Taskforce and principal investigator of ZORALCS, the Flemish study on the implementation of lung cancer screening. She is also an active member of numerous committees within the European Society of Radiology, the European Society of Thoracic Imaging, and the European Respiratory Society. She currently serves as Chair of the ESR Education Committee.
