Bernie is a founding team member and current Movement Building & Research Lead at Mind Share Partners. He serves as the organization’s knowledge expert and oversees a variety of movement building initiatives at the national and state levels, including national studies on workforce mental health, thought leadership in Harvard Business Review and Forbes, and more.
Prior to Mind Share Partners, Bernie spent his career dedicated to mental health across a variety of disciplines: human-centered design at Hopelab, a social innovation lab for youth wellbeing; education at Stanford Continuing Studies; and editorial writing for the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley. Bernie also serves on the board of Prism Foundation, a philanthropy empowering the Asian and Pacific Islander LGBTQ+ community through scholarships and grants.
Bernie has a Master’s of Health Science in Mental Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and in Sociology from UC Berkeley.
