Debra Bellon is the Strategic Engagement Manager for Rare Diseases International (RDI), the global alliance of persons living with a rare disease.
Debra’s role focuses on strengthening connections among RDI’s 116 member organizations in 50 countries, with an emphasis on knowledge exchange and building capacity and the regional and national levels.
She also manages RDI’s external communications, including social media channels and the Mapping Rare Platform, which highlights the diverse achievements of RDI members around the world. Before joining RDI in 2023, Debra worked in education, community development and disability advocacy in France, New Zealand and the United States.
