Dr Abedeh Gholidoust has a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Alberta and an MSc and BSc in Chemical Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic University. She currently teaches Business Analytics and Predictive Analytics at the University of Canada West.
Dr Gholidoust is passionate about science advocacy, business intelligence and communication. She served as a Business and Compliance Analyst with the peace officer sections at the City of Edmonton for four years and then joined the City of Vancouver as a Data Analyst in 2021. She previously worked for the Government of Alberta in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, leading financial policies, processes and system areas and providing leadership and support.
Dr Gholidoust also previously worked as a Research Engineer with the National Petrochemical Company of Iran and as a Research Scientist with the Air Liquide Company at ENSTA in Paris, France.
