David Knezevic

    Dr Knezevic is an accomplished scientist and leading expert in fields related to computational engineering, including applied mathematics, computer science, software engineering and scalable high-performance computing

    As CTO of Akselos, David leads the company’s technology development and has overseen deployment to a number of organisations in the oil and gas industry and beyond.

    David is originally from Perth in Western Australia, and completed his PhD at Oxford before joining Professor Anthony Patera’s group in the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT, where he worked on the Reduced Basis method that is the foundation of Akselos’ technology.

    In parallel to co-founding Akselos as an MIT spin off in 2011, Dr Knezevic was a Lecturer in the Institute for Applied Computational Science at Harvard University.

    David has published 16 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and has presented his research at many technical conferences around the world.
