    Jennifer E. Jennings, PhD holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Entrepreneurship, Gender and Family Business at the University of Alberta

    During the past 25 years, she has published two co-edited books and over 30 journal articles and book chapters on these topics. Her research has received numerous international recognitions, including the 2021 Foundational Paper Award from the Entrepreneurship (ENT) Division of the Academy of Management (AOM), inclusion in the 2022 Responsible Research in Business & Management (RRBM) Honor Roll, three Best Paper awards at general entrepreneurship conferences, and four Best Paper awards from the Diana International Conference on Women’s Entrepreneurship Research. 

    One of her career highlights was co-organizing the 2010 Diana conference in Banff, Alberta. Elected onto the AOM-ENT Executive Committee in 2009, Jennifer served as Chair of the Membership Committee until 2012. She also served as an Associate (Field) Editor for the Journal of Business Venturing (JBV) from 2010 to 2015. In addition to the recognitions that she has received for her research, Jennifer received an Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Academy of Management Review as well as an Outstanding Reviewer Award and an Outstanding Service Award from the Journal of Business Venturing. In 2011, her contributions to teaching at the University of Alberta were recognized with a McCalla Professorship. Jennifer received her PhD from the University of British Columbia in 2000 (as Jennifer E. Cliff) and graduated as the silver medalist from the Bachelor of Commerce program at Carleton University in 1990 (as Jennifer E. Huyda).
