Dr. Mamata Pandey is a research scientist at Saskatchewan Health Authority in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her expertise lies in engaging Indigenous people, refugees, and immigrants in health research. Taking a patient-centred approach, she employs health research to identify innovative solutions to improve the quality of care delivered. In collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, she utilizes research results to inform health programming and advocate for vulnerable populations. She serves as the President on the Board of Directors for Regina Immigrant Women Centre, Regina, Canada. She has led and supported multi-disciplinary teams, securing academic funding to improve healthcare delivery in the areas of Infectious disease, maternal care, primary care, chronic disease management and dermatology. Currently, she is leading two impactful projects: 1) the Provincial Youth Detox Program Evaluation and 2) A community-led diabetes care model enhancing diabetes care and management in a First Nation community in Saskatchewan, Canada. She has engaged and led multi-sectoral teams to publish research findings through 22 peer-reviewed manuscripts. She has supported Indigenous communities in showcasing community-led health innovations with academic and non-academic audiences.
