Dr Frederic Boy (PhD Grenoble) is an Assoc. Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Computational Social Science at Swansea University, School of Management, where he leads NAIADES cross-discipline research Network for AI, the Arts, the Digital Economy, and Society. He plays a leading role in the Zienkiewicz Institute, in developing synergies between social science, humanities, engineering, and AI research. Neuroscientist and Statistician by training, he is an internationally recognized multidisciplinary scientist with a recent focus on computational social science, developing Language-agnostic opensource architectures for the detection of subthreshold activities in global crises (e.g., instability in the Middle-East, invasion of Ukraine, Capitol riots), and Real-time opensource marketing and econometric indexes for the measurement of population wellbeing in the Western world and the Global South. Frederic’s expertise in the design and deployment of Machine Learning systems leadthe examination of contemporaryl realities through AI system.
