Igor Lednev is Williams-Raycheff Professor in Chemistry and SUNY Distinguished Professor at the University at Albany, State University of New York. He is a cofounder of two startup companies commercializing a universal method for identification of body fluid traces for forensic purposes, and screening tests for the early diagnostics of Alzheimer’s disease. Lednev is a founding director of Center for Biophotoncs Technology and Artificial Intelligence (CeBAI). He served as an advisory member on the White House Subcommittee for Forensic Science. U.S. Lednev has co-authored over 280 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 10 patents reaching h-index of 79. He received several prestigious awards including the 2024 EAS Award for Outstanding Achievements in Vibrational Spectroscopy, Charles Mann Award for Applied Raman Spectroscopy and Gold Medal Award from the Society for Applied Spectroscopy.
