Josep Puxeu Rocamora was President of the study group for the opinion of the EESC on The sustainable economy we need, adopted at the January plenary session.
He has extensive professional experience, both in the public and the private sector. He represents the Food and Beverage Industry in the European Economic and Social Committee since September 2015. He is the Director of the Spanish Soft Drinks Association (Anfabra).
He previously worked for several companies in the agri-food sector and is also a shareholder of Viticultors del Priorat, Viñas del Montsant, Indulleida and Agroles. In the public sector, he was Secretary of State for Rural and Marine Environment and Secretary General for Agriculture and Food at the Spanish Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs. He also was Director General of Food Policy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Adviser to the Cabinet of the Minister.
