University of Cyprus

I am Associate Professor or European History at the University of Cyprus, while I am also currently acting as the coordinator of the EU funded GrECI project, on Greek Heritage in European Culture and Identity, www.greci-twinning.org), a collaboration between the University of Cyprus, the University of Oslo and the University Marie-Louis Pasteur. I was educated at the University of Athens and the University of Edinburgh, and have worked at the University of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, and St Andrews, before coming to the University of Cyprus.

My research interests lie on early modern intellectual history and the history of the book. I have co-edited (with Han Lamers) the volume Receptions of Hellenism in Early Modern Europe, 15th-17th centuries (Brill, 2020), as well as the volume Documenting the Early Modern Book World: Inventories and Catalogues in Manuscript and Print (with Malcolm Walsby, Brill, 2013). I am currently completing the editing of a collected volume on Greek Books in the European Book Market (forthcoming with Brill). Other publications include Responses to Religious Division, c. 1580–1620. Public and Private, Divine and Temporal (Brill, 2017), as well as several essays and articles on sixteenth-century Greek printing.
