Nina Kimer is a clinician researcher and a medical specialist in hepatology, with special expertise in alcohol related-liver diseases, one of the major etiologies of advanced chronic liver disease in the Western World. She’s a project leader of studies on the molecular mechanisms of recompensation in alcohol-related liver disease, and a Principal Investigator of investigator-initiated randomized clinical trials in cirrhosis.
Nina Kimer is focusing on investigating mechanisms of action that can be therapeutically targeted to prevent complications in liver disease and facilitate liver disease regression; especially molecular mechanisms that may achieve remission of liver-related complications and liver regeneration.
Nina Kimer is supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation as a Clinical Ascending Investigator (NNF24OC0088416)
