Thomas holds a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. He has worked as a geoinformatics researcher in Africa and Asia for 20 years and is at present working as a researcher at Stockholm University. Thomas is also engaged with a start-up company developing a cheap, pocket sized soil spectral sensor intended for direct use by farmers and other citizen scientists.
