Developmental immunology researcher with a deep interest in understanding immune mechanisms in disease models of autoimmunity, chronic inflammatory conditions, and pregnancy complications. My current work focuses on unveiling mechanisms of maternal-fetal tolerance and susceptibility of babies to infection. I have previously worked to uncover the effects of environmental toxicants like asbestos fibers and ozone in the pulmonary system. By integrating my experience in lung toxicology and developmental immunology, I aim to advance our understanding of how environmental exposures and immune responses contribute to disease development and identify ways to mitigate those.
