Vitor Correia is a geologist with more than 28 years of experience in providing expertise on strategic management, innovation, and organisational effectiveness for institutions and projects in diverse value chains
He founded and managed several companies working in geosciences with operations in Europe, Africa, and South America. Over the last years he has been involved in evaluating mining projects and developing sectoral country strategies for the World Bank and the African Development Bank. He is also engaged in several EU funded projects as an in-house consultant of the European Federation of Geologists and the International Raw Materials Observatory, working from project inception to project development and implementation. Vitor is an expert on Mineral Resources of the European Economic and Social Committee and a Member of the Expert Group on Resource Classification of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. He is the Secretary-General of the International Raw Materials Observatory and the Past-President of the European Federation of Geologists. He is also the General Manager of Trisolaris.
