Discover how to bring LEGO® Education Science to life, from practical solutions to classroom applications

In the July Edition of Open Access Government, we introduced LEGO® Education Science – our new solution designed to successfully engage every student in science learning while building their confidence in creative
and critical thinking.

This month, we go a step further and show how these solutions come to life in real classroom lessons.

A lesson in action: Ra-Ra-Rattlesnake

One highlight from our LEGO® Education Teacher Portal is the “Ra-Ra-Rattlesnake” lesson.

In this lesson, pupils will construct an argument that animals have external structures that function to support survival. This lesson links to the learning themes: predators, prey, adaptation, survival, defence mechanisms, rattlesnakes.

The lesson encourages students to predict, test, and refine their ideas – all while collaborating and problem-solving.

Teacher support at every step

Every activity on the Teacher Portal is designed to make life easier for educators. The portal provides:

  • Ready-to-use lesson plans aligned with national curriculum.
  • Step-by-step teaching guides.
  • Assessment tools and reflection prompts to support assessment of learning.
  • Online FAQ and support.

This ensures teachers can confidently deliver lessons while students stay engaged and motivated.

From our July introduction of LEGO® Education Science to this month’s lesson spotlight, we are proud to show how our ecosystem connects solutions, lessons, and teacher support. With more than 120 lessons available, teachers can find science lessons for Year 1-9. Explore the Ra-Ra-Rattlesnake lesson and many more at the LEGO® Education Teacher Portal.
