“Publishing an article in Open Access Government has allowed to shed light on the most challenging aspects of inflammatory bowel disease and the unmet medical needs in IBD management. So far, no curative treatment is available. IBD is a life-long chronic and by 2030, around 1% of the population is expected to live with IBD.
