Barb MacQuarrie, the Community Director at Western University’s Centre for Research and Education on Violence against Women & Children, specializes in research and education on gendered violence prevention. She led the first Canadian national study in 2014 on domestic violence impacts at work, collaborating with the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC).
In 2022, she and Dr. Berlingieri again collaborated with the Canadian Labour Congress to conduct a national survey on workplace harassment and violence. She continues to work with researchers, advocates, labour organizations, and employers from North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Africa to develop new approaches to addressing gendered violence. MacQuarrie is a distinguished recipient of the Order of Ontario.
