Dr Frode F. Jacobsen, a trained medical anthropologist with a background in health studies, has performed fieldwork in Northern Sudan, Indonesia, Jordan, Bolivia, the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Norway
His is presently working comparatively on the organisation of elderly care across Europe and North America. He works as Professor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Professor II at VID Specialized University, Norway, and as Research Director of the Center for Care Research. He received his PhD in anthropology from University of Bergen, Norway, in 1997.
