FimusKraft Bio-gas Plant (FKBP): Is bio-waste a cost or an income for you?

FKBP: Fully automated and modular concept
FKBP: Fully automated and modular concept

FimusKraft bio-gas Plant FKBP turns the bio-waste cost-effectively into electricity, heat and nutrient-rich bio-fertilizer

Handling of bio-waste

  • No transportation
  • No gate fee cost
  • Less smell
  • Efficient bio-fertilizer

Transportation of bio-waste

The bio-gas plant should be situated directly next to where the bio-waste is produced.

Less Smell

The fermented bio-waste product is environmentally friendly compost, that has remarkably less smell.

Bio-fertilizer

Electrify your bio-waste!

Fermentation-processing is changing the bio-waste to nutrient rich fertilizer/compost, high in nitrogen.

Further processing after fermentation produces high quality bio-fertilizer which is both solid and liquid.

The fertilizer can be used in food production, feed cultivation or cultivation of vegetables and cereals.

Energy Production

The soul of the bio-gas plant is the fermentation. To ensure optimal gas production, the bio-gas will be pre-treated. FKBP combines bio-gas fermentation with an innovative modular boostering unit (MBU). This MBU allows bio-gas to be obtained with 30-50% higher energetic efficiency than traditional fermentation method Anaerobic Digestion (AD). The bio-gas content of cow dung is about 15-25 m3/ wet weight (ton). The methane content of bio-gas is 60% and up.

Electricity and Heat

Each module produces about 30kW of electricity and 60kW of heat. The electricity can be used on the farm for lighting and charging machines and devices. The process produces heat that will be used to warm the farmhouses and storage barns.

Investment and operating cost

Investment

The investment cost with FimusKraft’s bio-gas plant is remarkable (25-40% lower than with traditional fermenters). The average payback time of the investment is between 4-9 years (depending on the local electricity tariff price).

Installation

The biogas plant is designed to be a movable, modular, and compact unit that can be installed in 2-6 weeks (including FKBP testing and user training). The modular design enables easy and inexpensive scaling up to meet different needs, with extra modules easy to add. Each module produces 30kW of electricity, 60kW of heat, and nutrient-rich fertilizer.

Upgrade existing plants

MBU can be easily integrated in existing bio-gas plants to upgrade them with FKBP key technology. Additionally, existing cow dung storage can be easily integrated into existing biogas plants and upgraded with FKBP key technology.
